A consumer goods company with year over year growth of over 50%+. In light of the need for more capital and business expansion opportunities, we conducted a full financial analysis, including projections, cash flow, KPI, sales cycle, vendor negotiations, etc. Once we had an understanding of the business needs, we were able to help them navigate towards capitalization solutions that suited those needs. Upon accessing capital solutions appropriately, it allowed them to plan their growth more efficiently and work towards additional opportunities for expansion.
The company next looked to further expand their business by acquiring a complementary product line, Masthead Financial & Capital Advisors assessed potential acquisitions and assisted in the process of due diligence to determine if the companies would be a good fit. We worked with the company from a financial and operational perspective to assess the opportunities. We conducted full risk assessment and financials analysis to determine fit and form of a possible acquisition for the company. The company still looks for ongoing acquisition opportunities and Masthead works side by side with the business during their ongoing efforts.
Private Equity Firm
A private equity firm had acquired multiple companies and was looking to implement change initiatives and pursue recapitalizations of their current portfolio holdings. In addition to providing full financial assessment of the individual companies, Masthead Financial & Capital Advisors provided complete financial services for each company covering capitalization optimization strategies, transaction management and maintains ongoing relationships with the capital provider.
In addition to analysis, we were involved in working with their business development team during their capital search involving more than 50 firms nationwide. We assisted with the process, closing, and maintaining ongoing relationship management of capital provider, private equity firm and the portfolio company. We are also currently involved with their ongoing acquisition explorations as the private equity firm looks to acquire new portfolio companies.
Individual Investor
An investor was looking for an acquisition and Masthead Financial & Capital Advisors assisted him in the buying of the business. We did a complete financial analysis of the new business and advised the first time investor on the potential risks and opportunities involved with the purchase.
From the early stages of the acquisition, we worked side by side with him and the company during the due diligence process. We brought in outside expertise, as needed, involving quality of earnings, background checks, operational due diligence, and capitalization needs. We provided a capitalization optimization strategy and assisted in driving the transaction through the process towards a successful close. Upon closing the transaction, we worked with the investor and his new business during the transition until he was able to implement his change strategy and hire a new CFO for the business.
